Many sentences in English have more than one clause. Whenever you find a sentence on the TOEFL test with more than one clause, you need to make sure that every subject has a verb and every verb has a subject.

Almost every reading passage on the TOEFL test will have a question about the main idea of a passage. Such a question may be worded in a variety of ways; you may for example, be asked to identify the topic, subject, title, primary, idea, or main idea.
