Self-learning

It is the process of acquiring knowledge, skills, or competencies independently and without direct supervision or formal instruction from a teacher or instructor.

Self-learners typically use a variety of resources, such as books, online courses, videos, and practical experiences, to acquire knowledge and develop expertise in a particular subject or skill.


Sentence

The largest independent unit of grammar: it begins with a capital letter and ends with a period, question mark, or exclamation point.


Singular

The simplest form of a noun (the form that appears in a dictionary): a category of number denoting one person, thing, or instance.


Slide

It refers to an individual page or screen within a presentation software, such as Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides, where content, including text, images, charts, and other visual elements, is displayed to the audience.

Slides are organized sequentially to create a structured and visual narrative during a presentation.


Subject

It is the part of a sentence or clause that commonly indicates (a) what it is about, or (b) who or what performs the action.


Suffix

A letter or group of letters added to the end of a word or stem, serving to form a new word or functioning as an inflectional ending.


Superlative

The form of an adjective that suggests the most or the least of something.


Synonym

A word that has the same meaning as another word in the same language.
